Lucy Foster Warren Kelly was a good Christian Mama who was strong in her faith, and served God faithfully and was faithful to teach her children about God and to teach them His word and tell them about His love. She was loving, patient and endlessly wise. She had the most wonderful laugh in the world, and was a wonderful cook and baker, a skill she passed on to her daughters Nellie and Grace. Her specialities were: Fried Chicken, Blackberry Cobbler and Vanilla Cream Pie (or any kind of pie, her pie crust was tender and flaky) The songs her family associate strongly with her and remember her singing are, "Take Your Burdens To The Lord And Leave Them There", "Life Is Like A Mountain Railroad" and "Power In The Blood". She was a good singer and played the organ at church. She didn't like pizza, rude people or violin playing. Her dad, George W. Foster played the violin, which she called, "an old fiddle".
