The Rogers family lived near the Hardens at Gillett, Tx. Bertha did not know L.G until after her brother, Clate, Jr., got them to be pen pals and after L.G. came home from the service in WWII. L.G. & Bertha celebrated 61 years of marriage and raised a very nice family, while serving as paster and wife of several church families over the years. The highlight of their life was the Joyful Noise Makers, who sang in their church and traveled in Texas singing in churches and other religious events.
