James William Webb

Following an illness of three months, James William Webb, 68, farmer, passed away at his home at Load.

A native of Ashand, Mr. Webb was born Aug. 5, 1873, a son of the late Sam and Julia Blankenship Webb.

He is survived by the following children Herman, Sherman and Adeline Chaffins of Load, Mrs. Beulah Felly of Samaria, Ky, and Mrs. Garnet Eggers of York; these brothers and sisters, Mattie Baker and Maggie Darby of Greenup Josie Tinsley of Brimley, Mich., Charles of Ohio; Foster of Pennsylvania and Edward of Load; a half-sister, Julia French, and a half-brother, Albert Webb, of Fullerton.

Also surviving are 18 grandchildren. Five children are deceased and his first wife, the former Julia Ann Davis, preceded him in death.

Last rites, will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday at Carr Baptist; church at Big White Oak. Rev, Donald Pemerton officiating. Burial will follow in Davis cemetery under direction of Morton funeral home.

Mr. Webb was a member of the Missionary Baptist church, in Greenup.
