Philip Redkey Anderson was born at Hillsboro, Ohio June 19, 1858. He was united in marriage to Clara F. Daggett on February 22, 1881 at Hillsboro. To this union five children were born, four sons and one daughter; Henry C., Burch P., and Roy E. are residents of Douglas; and Harry G. resides at Casper, Wyoming. Maggie Anna, the only daughter, departed this life at Gibbon, Nebraska December 26, 1903, at the age of 14 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson moved from Ohio to Nebraska, going from there to Colorado and later returning to Nebraska. In 1900 they moved to Converse County, Wyoming; which with the exception of two years again spent in Nebraska, has been their home.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church with Rev. H. E. Shepherd officiating.
