SHULLSBURG, Wis. -- Phyllis Cleone Morrissey, 70, of Shullsburg, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque, with her family at her side.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Shullsburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 13, at Furlong Funeral Home, Shullsburg.

She was born on Jan. 10, 1941, in Shullsburg, daughter of Harold and June (Davis) Harwick. She married Richard E. Morrissey on Nov. 29, 1958, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Shullsburg, and together they were blessed with six children.

She worked at Honeywell (Micro Switch) in Warren, Ill., for 30 years.

In her retirement, Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved taking photographs and attending her grandchildren's sports activities. Phyllis was an avid garage sale enthusiast and enjoyed making flower arrangements as well as taking her chances with the lottery.

She was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church.

Phyllis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family.

Surviving are her husband, Richard, of Shullsburg; her five children, Donna Morrissey, Debbie Cullen, Danny (Susan) Morrissey, Denise Byrne and Darrell (Lisa) Morrissey, all of Shullsburg; her grandchildren, Stephanie Morrissey, Kimberly Morrissey, Brittany Cullen, Blake Cullen, Brock Cullen, Haley Morrissey, Davis Morrissey and Tyson Morrissey; two sisters and two brothers, Geraldine (Bill) McCauley, of Cuba City, Donald Harwick and Dorothy (Gary) Curran, both of Shullsburg, and James (Joann) Harwick, of Benton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven Richard Morrissey, in infancy; and a son-in-law, Terry Byrne.
