J. H. BELL FUNERAL SATURDAY
A Farmer, Single and Age 70. He Left Sister and Brother Here.
J. H. Bell, 70 years old, a native of Knox County and a brother of Mrs Leslie Hicks and Frank Bell of Edina, died suddenly at 9:15 last Thursday evening at his home three and a half miles north of Hurdland. He had not been well for some time and was under a doctor's care.
James Henry Bell, or Hadley Bell as he was called, one of the seven children of James Henry and Sarah Cody Bell, was born May 19, 1881, and spent the greater part of his life in his native county. He was a farmer and was never married.
Besides the sister and brother here, Mr. Bell is survived by another brother, Cleve Bell of Providence, Ky. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were Saturday from the Easley Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Allen Vancil, and burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Hurdland.
