Mr. Haley Howard Carter, 81, of Livingston, died Thursday, August 26, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.
Born September 24, 1917, in Sabine Parrish, LA, he was the son of the late Enoch Bradford and Carlotta Laurissa Hippler Carter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Metterholzer Carter.
He was of the Baptist faith and a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant during WWII.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Haley Howard Carter Jr., California, and Duane and Sheila Carter, Livingston; two sisters, Vera Steele, Dickerson, TX, and Clara Buck, Tyler, TX; a grandson, David Matthews Carter, Cookeville; a step granddaughter, Jacqueline Bennett, Jacksonville, FL; and four step great grandchildren.
