Sarah was my GG Grandmother. She was a Daughter of Thomas Watts (1765-1837) and Lydia Bowen. Thomas was the Son of John Watts and Sarah Bowen; Lydia was the Daughter of Nathan Bowen and Mary Sollers. Information on the Bowen Family can be found on Ancestry.com, under Baltimore County Families, 1659-1759.
My post on Ancestry about Sarah:
William, Eleanor, and Margaret Borland, were Siblings of Sarah Bowen Watts Borland's deceased Husband, Mathew Borland who was buried at Stone Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pikesville, Baltimore County, Md. After the death of Mathew, Sarah and her Children, Laura, John, and Eliza, moved to Pa. in the Steelville area, to live with Mathew's unmarried siblings. There are some later news clippings advertising rooms for rent, in Maryland, by Sarah. Two Daughters, Laura and Mary Ann, are buried at Stone Chapel, along with Father, Mathew, so, while I'm not clear on a exact timeline, it seems Sarah was in Md., then returned to Pa. She is buried at Octorara United Presbyterian Church, aka Octorara Covenanter Presbyterian Church. For many years, I searched for Mathew in a Presbyterian Cemetery, until a Md. Historian, pointed out that he had married a Methodist, and was buried in a Methodist Cemetery!! But, I have to chuckle, because Sarah, his Wife, a Methodist, is buried in a Presbyterian Cemetery! So, I thought I'd offer that experience to those of you still searching for Ancestors. Mathew and Sarah were my GG Grandparents.
