Rock Springs Miner no. 51 December 19, 1895

Death of An Old Settler.

The following notice we take from the State Journal of Lincoln, Nebraska, relative to the death of Mr. Snider, father of our respected citizens Charles Snider and Mrs. Annie Thayer, both of whom attended the funeral:--

The funeral of the late Leopold Snider was held from the family residence at Osceola on the 5th inst., and the home was filled with sympathizing friends of the family. Revd. W. R. Adams, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiated.

Mr. Snider was born in Baden, Germany, in the year 1835; came to this country when sixteen years old and has lived in this state for twenty years. He was an intelligent, quiet, unassuming gentleman and those who know him best loved him most. He leaves a widow and six children. Only three of the children were present at the funeral, Mrs. Josie Howland of Osceola, and Mrs. Annie Thayer and Charles Snider, who live in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
