David Vauter, of Orange Co., died at the Albermarle Barracks in Albermarle Co., VA near Charlottesville, during the war, worth nothing at all. He lived near to William Lucas of Orange and his widow lived near him (Lucas) for several years after the death of her husband in great distress.
David's wife was Mary Ofill and they had six children.
