In the book Forest County, Pennsylvania Cemetery Inscriptions, which had the following information: Hortense Hillard, 23 y, female, white, single, b PA & parents b PA, Superintendant of Schools for Forest CO., PA, spotted fever, resident of county 13 y, disease contacted at Neiltown, PA., Dr. William Niece reporting (notation at bottom of page says that she actually died at Neiltown, PA., but her family lived in Barnett Twp., Forest CO. PA.

I found FOREST CO NEWSPAPER ABSTRACTS: DEATH NOTICES 1867-1899 by Karen Rodgers 1996.In the Forest Republican 11 Feb 1880, p. 44 is found the death notice. It reads Hortense Hillard 8 Feb 1880
