George Crider was the husband of Frances Bennett Crider. They had at least 10 children, including David, Elizabeth, Catherine, Thomas Bennett, William B, Frances M, Samuel J, Daniel Bennett, George Washburn, and Rosey Ann CRIDER.

George Crider was the son of Daniel Crider Sr. of Pittsylvania County, Virginia.

While it is possible that George Crider is buried at Antioch Cemetery in Gibson County where many other of his Crider kin are also buried, a volunteer was unable to locate a headstone marker for this ancestor.

Thanks to descendant Jan McGrann for photos she uploaded to this memorial (***NOTE: However, photos uploaded are NOT of George Crider, they are of son and grandson of George Crider, click on the photos to see captions for more info!***); and additional info provided 02/2015 regarding family connections: "His son Rev. Samuel J Crider moved to Sharon, Weakley County,Tennessee which is only 5-10 miles north of Bradford. Samuel J was buried in a plot that had become overgrown and plowed under. I have only found 1 reference to a Crider cemetery. He was buried in area 6 lot #16 'North West of Sharon.' I have wondered if George & Frances were buried there. Samuel J.'S wife Mary Yates is reportedly buried in a single grave at the old homestead. We have an idea of the road they lived on and and where the old schoolhouse was where S.J's son Robert taught school."
