Daniel Rowell was the son of Stratton Rowell and Olive Birtch. He was born Aug. 23, 1827 in Oxford County, Ontario. Daniel first married, Mary Thompson in Ontario, Canada. She passed away in 1864. On Nov. 15, 1866 in Oxford Co., Ontario he married Levina Schell (1835 - 1917). She was the daughter of Abraham Schell and Esther Hugill Schell. In 1869 they immigrated to Michigan. The family can be found in the 1880 and 1900 Census for Dayton, Tuscola County, Michigan. In 1880 his occupation is listed as lumberman. Daniel passed away March 10, 1905.
