Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home, Taft, for Troy Lee Rowden, 73. Burial will follow in the West Side District Cemetery.
Mr. Rowden was born October 1, 1908, in Oxford, Izard County, Arkansas and died Tuesday October 20, 1981 at home in Bakersfield.
He married Nola Jewell Prewett on November 19, 1932 in Oxford, Izard County, Arkansas.
He and Nola came to Taft in 1934 and lived here until 1951, when he moved to Bakersfield. He was a retired Oil worker for Tosco Refinery.
He is preceded in death by his infant daughter Jewell Lee Rowden. He is survived by his wife, a son, a daughter, six grandchildren, four step grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and a sister.
