Georgiann Wilder

Georgiann Wilder, 65, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully in her home at 11:22 am, Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Georgiann was born on December 24, 1945, the daughter of Ernest and Vesta (Harris) Bodie. While in Pensacola in 1964, she met her future husband, Douglas Wilder, during his naval training. On November 6, 1964, they were married and shared 44 years of marriage until he passed on October 10, 2009. She is also preceded in death by a son, Brian, who passed away, January 2, 2007, and four brothers, Eutah Bodie, Harris Maine Bodie, Texas Randel Bodie and an Infant brother.
She is survived by three children, Vincent (Jonah) Wilder of Osceola, Christopher "Shane" (Tammy) Wilder of Mishawaka, and Dustin "Cory" Wilder of Mishawaka, and four grandchildren, Justen, Maggie, Brodie, and Owen. She is also survived by two sisters, Wyoma (Clint) Stokes of Pensacola, FL and Virginia Betz of Tama, IA and a brother, Denver Bodie of Pensacola, FL.
She was an active member of Grace Brethren Church, Mishawaka. She will be remembered for her love of family and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to watch birds and collected many figurines over the years.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 pm, Sunday, June 12, 2011 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 13, 2011 in the funeral home with Pastor Davy Troxel officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
