Edna Benson Ward, 85, died Friday in a Salt Lake City Nursing Home of causes incident to age.

She was born on October 19, 1890, a daughter of Frank Andrew and Amanda Charolotta Eliason Benson.

On June 26, 1912, she married John Henry Ward in the Logan LDS Temple.

She graduated from Brigham Young College in Logan, Utah.

She was a Charter Member of the DUP Garland Camp and had served as its Captain, Secretary and Historian.

She had been a member of the Birthday and Literary Clubs.

A member of the LDS Church, she had served as President of the YWMIA and Primary, she had been on the Bear River Stake Boards of the YWMIA and Relief Society.

Surviving are her husband, Salt Lake City, Utah; two sons and two daughters, Frank S Ward of Ogden, Utah; Karl E Ward, Hyde Park, Utah; Mrs Odell (Edna Mae) Thompson, Napa, California; and Mrs Burt W (Amanda) Hermansen, Salt Lake City, Utah; 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Burial was held in the Riverside Cemetery, Riverside, Utah.
