Alta A. Fliginger

Alta A. Fliginger, Stillwater, Okla., died Friday, July 12, 1991 at Westhaven Nursing Home, Stillwater.

She was born June 1, 1909, in Barton, County, MO., the daughter of John Boyd and Abbie Marie Reed Johnston. She married Harold M. Fliginger. He died in 1955.

She graduated from Pittsburg High School and Kansas State Teachers College, Pittsburg. She was a Junior High School teacher and taught in Kansas and Missouri.

Survivors include two daughters, Arvella West, Stillwater and Betty Jo Bierbaum, Interprise, Ala; one brother, John Leslie Johnston, Normal, Ill.; one sister Leona May Johnston, Stillwater; and four Grandchildren.

Services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Stillwater with Dr. B. Gordon Edwards officiating. Burial was in the Sterling Community Cemetery.
