Saturday Services for Harold M Fliginger
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Mennonite church southwest of Sterling for Harold M. Fliginger, former resident who died at his home in Topeka last Wednesday night. Revs John Haupt and Arthur Enns officiated and burial was made in the Sterling cemetery.
Harold M. Fliginger, son of Joseph and Mary C Fliginger, was born April 24, 1905 in Reno County, Kansas and departed this life March 2, 1955 at his home in Topeka, Kansas. He was employed in Topeka as Purchasing Agent for the State of Kansas.
He was graduated from Sterling High School and attended Sterling College and Kansas State Teachers College at Pittsburg.
He was united in marriage to Alta Johnson and January 30, 1932 and to them were born two daughters, Arvilla Mae and Betty Jo.
He confessed his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of eight years. Later in life he joined the United Presbyterian Church in which he served as an Elder.
He leaves his wife and two daughters, his father and his stepmother, Bertha. His mother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held in the Mennonite Church, Saturday, March 5 conducted by Reverends John T. Haupt and Arthur Enns. Burial was made in the Sterling Cemetery.
