Adron Jackson "Jack" Ikerd, 91, Bolivar, died Wednesday, June 08, 2011 at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility. The son of Homer and Maggie (Jenkins) Ikerd, he was born in Conway, Missouri November 25, 1919.

Jack was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific.

Jack and Jewell Seamster were married June 16, 1946 in Polk. She preceded him in death January 10, 2009.

His parents, great-grandson, Dakota Moore, brother, Henry Ikerd, and sisters, Alice Derossett, Marie Gilben, Frances Carter and Llucy Reminga, also preceded him in death.

Jack was a machinist, welder and mechanic. He was also an inventor and graduated from Fort Smith Auction School in July 1977. He had been a member of the V. F. W. Post 4085 and the Polk County Numismatic Society.

He is survived by 4 children and their spouses, Adron and Lola Ikerd, Pittsburg, Harold and Roberta Ikerd, Buffalo, Ada and Leroy Sikes, Nevada and Linda and Clifford Allred, Polk; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2:30 PM at Murray Funeral Home, Bolivar. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Jones, James Moore, Julie Magee, Matthew Sikes, Cheri Howry and Kriston Neitzert. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Howry, Steven Ikerd and Brandon Coltrin.
