Funeral services for Bill Bigelow, 69, of Franklin were conducted Monday, April 19, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Duncan with Pastor Paul Schultz officiating. Concluding services followed in the Franklin Cemetery. Bill was born May 14, 1934, in Bisbee to William and Lucie Bigelow. Bill grew up in Mammoth and Florence, graduating from Florence High School in 1953. He was drafted into the Army and served in Germany. Bill returned to Arizona and worked as an underground copper miner in Bisbee.

He married Dorothy Baker on Jan. 11, 1963, in Bisbee at Grace Lutheran Church. Bill moved to Duncan in 1970 and later to Franklin in 1979. He enjoyed gardening and sports. Bill was a member of the Duncan Volunteer Fire Department and was the secretary/treasurer for the department. He was an active member of the Lutheran Church and held various roles at Grace Lutheran Church in Safford as an elder and president of the Congregation at Trinity Lutheran Church in Duncan.

Survivors include his children, William Bigelow of Tucson, Mary Bigelow of Duncan, Timothy Bigelow of Franklin, and Stephen Bigelow of Duncan; sisters, Gladys Holden of Taylor, Wilma Ratliff of McNeal, and Maryjane Callison of Bisbee. Five grandchildren also survive.

Arrangements were entrusted to Bunker's Caldwell Chapel.
