Clayton, Ga - Lona Addis Hunt, 99, of Homer, formerly of Rabun County, died Thursday, July 25, 1996, at Habersham County Medical Center. Born in Rabun County, she had spent most of her life in Rabun County, a homemaker and a member of King Memorial Presbyterian Church where she was a Charter member. Surviving are son, Johnny Hunt of Clayton, daughters, Beulah H. York and Irene H. Hunt of Commerce; sisters, Lear Addis Eller and Ruby Addis Frady of Clayton, Carrie Addis Abernathy of Robertstown; 14 grandchildren; and several great, great-great, and great-great-great-grandchildren. She was the widow of Charles Wesley Hunt and was the daughter the late William Luther and Celia Smith Addis. Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Providence Baptist Church, Habersham County by the Rev. Steve Frazier; burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Sunday. The family is at the home of her son, Johnny Hunt, Church Street, Clayton.
