Mary Winchester was christened on March 26th, 1648, in Hingham, Massachusetts. The daughter of John and Hannah (Seallis) Winchester. She married John Druce about 1670, in Roxbury, Massachusetts, and may have had 3 children. John was mortally wounded in King Philip's War, was brought home, and died July 2nd, 1675.

Mary married second to Erasamon Drew in Roxbury on February 18, 1677. Erasamon's first wife was Bethiah Druce, the sister of John Druce. Rosamon and Mary moved to the part of Boston called Muddy River, now Brookline.Mary's first father-in-law, Vincent Druce, was one of the earliest and largest landowner's there, and she received a bequest of land from him in his will, dated 1678. There are also records of Erasamon buying land in Muddy River from Vincent's heirs, and there he operated a sawmill. She and Rosamon had five children, all born in Muddy River. Mary died on March 31st, 1719, and is buried in Newton's East Parish Burying Ground, along with four of their children. Fun fact: Mary's brother John Winchester was the ancestor of Oliver Winchester, of Boston, founder of Winchester Arms Company.
