Walter Lee Alexander was born September 17, 1926 in Douglas, Wyoming; the son of Walter Lee and Edna Ann Pfeifer Alexander, Sr. He attended grade school in the country and graduated from the Converse County High School in 1945. Upon graduating he was drafted into the Armed Service and received an honorable discharge in 1974.
He returned to the ranch and bought in partnership with his father, brother and sister in the Walking Cross Ranches Corporation until it dissolved in 1975.
He was married to Marilyn June Rodeman of LaGrange, Wyoming on July 20, 1952 at Douglas, Wyoming. To this union were born four sons. He was married to Rita Rjoy on September 2, 1978 in Esterbrook, Wyoming and they had one daughter.
Mr. Alexander was survived by his wife, Rita, of Douglas; four sons Daniel Lee of Lyman, Wyoming; Dennis Norman of Dubois, Wyoming; Mark Alan of Douglas and Kurt Lee of the U.S. Navy, San Diego, California; one daughter, Kelly Jo of the family home; one brother, Donald "Doc" Andrew and one sister, Shirley Ann Forgey, both of Douglas; one grandson, Joseph Riley Alexander of Lyman, Wyoming; and numerouds nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, September 22,1976 and his first wife, Marilyn, May 18, 1980.
