Denver Post Obituary 01/26/2011:
BELSTOCK, STEPHEN 68, of Denver, died at home Monday, January 24, 2011. He is survived by his sons, Neil and Reid Belstock, his sister Donna Ferris and two grandchildren. A memorial will be held Sunday from Noon to 4pm. For details please email [email protected].

Steve grew up in Denver off Montview Blvd. in Denver, Colorado. The family home was at 2239 Leyden Street

Steve graduated from East High School, Denver, Colorado class of 1960. Steve excelled in bowling, skiing and golf. He was a leftie!

Steve attended Menlo Park College in California

He would later work for the family business in Denver at Strauss Fancy Foods at the store in Cherry Creek.

Eventually he would become a black jack dealer at Jazz Alley and The Isle in Black Hawk, Colorado. His passion was gambling and more specifically horse racing.

One of Steve's team mates on the East High School golf team from 1960 and a good friend at Green Gables Country Club was Barry Hirschfeld. Barry penned these words for Steve:

"Steve Belstock was a quiet, unassuming yet determined and accomplished athlete with special prowess in golf and bowling. Steve and I were on East High's golf team and developed a fine relationship—one of common interests and mutual respect. I can remember spending time with Steve at his home on South Dahlia or my home on Sixth Avenue. We had good times, especially with our cars, raised a little Hell but never got caught. Steve's life was cut way too short. He will be sorely missed."
Warm Regards,
Barry Hirschfeld June 2011

At the time of his death, Steve was 68 years old.
