Kenny was born on December 12, 1965 in Kansas City, Mo. He was the son of Jackson and Orpha Virginia "Grenser" Erwin. He married Gina Rosenstiel on April 6, 2002. She survives of the home.

Kenny lived several years in Kansas City, then Butler, Mo. before moving to Columbus, Kan. in 2004. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. His parents and one sister, Eva Marie, preceded him in death.

The past year has been one in which Kenny has had to endure many trials. He had been gaining in his fight with cancer. Kenny attributed the strength to do so to his faith in Jehovah God. He enjoyed sharing that faith with others and looks forward to its fulfillment of a resurrection in a peaceful new world. Until that time he will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Columbus, Kan. As it was Kenny's sincere wish to see a new Kingdom Hall built here in Columbus, the family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local Kingdom Hall building fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home of Columbus, KS.
