Thelma Parks Sharpe, age 91, of Lake City passed away March 13 at Hillcrest West Nursing Home in Knoxville.

She was born Oct. 15, 1915, to the late Floyd (Bud) and Molly (Davis) Parks. She was a lifelong member of Main Street Baptist Church Lake City and a member of the choir until her health prevented her from attending church. She was also a member of the Clinton Community Chorus for several years during the 1980's. Miss Thelma, as she was known by so many, loved her church and working in her flowers.

She was preceded in death by husband, Carl W. (John) Sharpe; sisters, Pauline Morris and Edna Miller; brother, Everett Binkley Parks.

She is survived by her sons, John and wife, Myra (Turner) Sharpe of Marietta, GA, Michael and wife, Treva (Kirby) Sharpe of Apopka, FL, Terry and wife, Tena (Phillips) Sharpe of Powell; grandsons, Mark Sharpe and wife Kim, Keenan Sharpe and wife Marika of Alpharetta, GA, Jonathan Sharpe of Powell; granddaughter, Carla Firlotte and husband Brad of Apopka, FL; great grandchildren, Jackson, Morgan and Harper Sharpe of Alpharetta, GA, Lena and Liam Firlotte of Apopka, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held March 16 at the Main Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating.

Interment was in the Leach Cemetery. Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
