MARION - George Harry Andrews, 78, a retired owner and operator of Marion Music Co. and Marion Communications Services, died Wednesday in a Darlington hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rose Hill Cemetery. Burial will be directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home.
Mr. Andrews was born in Marion County, a son of Harry Andrews and Anna Stathopoulos Andrews. He was a former member and charter chief of the Marion Rural Fire Department. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marion.
Surviving are his wife, Eloise Lundy Andrews; a son, Tony Andrews of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two daughters, Sherry Waddell of Kernersville, N.C. and Denise Shepard of Plantation, Fla.; and 5 grandchildren.
