She died sometime between June 16, 1900 and the time when the 1910 census was enumerated. At the time of the last census to name her (1900) she was living with her daughter Josephine Ella and her son in-law Rubin Burns in Frost, Navarro County, Texas. She was 74 at the time. Her son Charles Fuller Hearn was living nearby in Dawson, Navarro County, Texas. His 1913 obituary names him as Mayor of Dawson, but does not give the years of his service.
