LAUREL — Jo Ann Cooley Warren
Jo Ann Cooley Warren, 72, of Laurel, died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Doremus, Rev. David Hagen, and Rev. Kenny McMinn will officiate.
Her family remembers Jo Ann as the best wife and mom ever and as loving her church and her church family.
Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Van Buren Cooley and Amza Davis Cooley, and her son, Joey L. Walters.
Survivors include her husband, David Lee Warren; daughters, Sheila Livingston, of Forest, Ranee Gilbert (Ted), of Houston, Texas; brother, Marion Van Cooley (Janie), of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Laura Jo Anna Livingston, Heather Ranee Westmoreland, Jennifer Walters and Jessica Walters; great-grandchild, Jayden Kilts, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ted Gilbert, Martin Cooley, Chuck Walker, Milton Stennett, Kyle Bateman, and Cody Sorey. Dr. Rusty Stevens, the Christian Young At Heart members of Life Church and the ushers of Life Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Life Church Building Fund.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, June 6, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
