US Politician. He served as the Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky from 1895 to 1899.

Raised a company of troops for service in the Union Army, it having been Company B, 22nd Kentucky Volunteer Infantry. Purchased and operated a furnace in the Hanging Rock Iron field for 15 years. County Judge Greenup County one term, State Senator and Lt. Governor.
