Mary Olivia Mullins, age 93, of Brownwood was called home to be with our Lord Friday morning, February 25, 2011. Graveside services will be held at 2:30pm, Monday, February 28, 2011 in Eastlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will take place from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, Monday, February 28, 2011 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mullins was born December 24, 1917, in Eden, Texas, the daughter of Zillah Ada (Wilkerson) and William August Heun. She married L. K. "Bill" Mullins on November 5, 1938, in Paint Rock, Texas.

Olivia was a homemaker who had a great love for her Lord and family. She loved caring for her family and was a beloved mother, raising her children in a Christian environment. Throughout her life, Olivia was active in church and in her later years, a member of Victory Baptist Church. Her husband, "Bill", was in road construction and the family lived in many places before retiring to Brownwood in 1969. After the kids left home, Olivia and Bill loved to travel to see family and go on camping and fishing trips.

She is survived by her son, Ted Mullins and wife Doris of Lancaster, CA; three daughters, Karen Parrish of Brownwood, TX, Shirley Lee and husband Jimmy of Deport, TX, and Deborah Kilgore and husband Jim of Zephyr, TX, son-in-law, Artie Smith of Brownwood, TX, and her sister, Ruth Hoffman of Stevensville, MT. Mrs. Mullins is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her husband, L. K. Mullins, daughter, Deanna Sue Smith and her parents. She will be missed by all and always remembered with a smile in our hearts.

As a family, we would like to convey to the nurses and staff of Oak Ridge Manor that words cannot express our gratitude for the genuine, loving care given to our mom for over 15 years. Also to Dr. Oines, he cared for Mom as if she was one of his own, always gracious towards our concerns.
