Wade Golay, 71, of Clinton died Thursday, May 4, 2000 at his home.

Wade was the retired owner of Ohio Metalizing & Flame Spray, Inc., a company he founded in 1966. He was also an active member of the Rotary Club of Canal Fulton and a social member of the VFW #9795, Canal Fulton.

Preceded in death by brothers, Jack and Wayne "Swede" Golay.

Survived by beloved wife, Patricia "Patsy" Golay; daughters, Stacie Golay, Robin (Gary) Riemenschneider, Sue (Joe) Goad, Glenda (Wendell) Lampley; step-daughters, Connie (Glenn) Kitzmiller, Julie (King) Ott, Anita Graber, Shari (Bill) Busby; one sister, Mary Helen Selby; one sister-in-law, Maudie Golay; 19 grandchildren; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Closest friend, Don (Jean) Swigart; and a host of relatives & friends.

Funeral service Monday 1 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) Rev. Stanley Ward officiating. Burial Union cemetery. Visitation SUNDAY 2 to 5 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.(Swigart-Easterling, 854-2356.)
