Mrs. Ragsdale was a daughter of James Guyton. Her husband, Smith E. Guyton, was formerly with the Texas and Pacific Railroad her, but moved to Denver about three years ago, where he has been in the employ of the Colorado and Southern. She graduated from Dallas High School, and taught in the schools for several years. She was married in June 1895. She was survived by sisters Sue and Kate Guyton of Dallas and Mrs. Allen K. Ragsdale of San Antonio.

Guyton of Tyler and J.T. Guyton of Bayou Gouls, La, a sister and the brothers of Mrs. Ragsdale, have arrived in the city to attend the funeral. Mrs. Ragsdale was well known in Wichita Falls, where she formerly lived, her husband having formerly been an auditor of the Wichita Valley railroad at this point.
