Herman Woodrow Pickett, 81, a resident of the Carmen Nursing Home, Crawfordsville, died at 11:45 am Tuesday.
Mr. Pickett was a self-employed farmer. His memberships included the Wallace Phanuel Lutheran church. He was also the director of the Fountain County Co-Op for four years.
He graduated from Wallace High School in 1934 and has resided in Hillsboro.
He was born Nov. 6, 1916, to Hurley E. and Lydia Ellen Allen Pickett, in rural Wallace. He married Thelma Prosser Pickett at Crawfordsville on Nov. 20, 1955. She survives.
Also surviving is a nephew, Richard Bruner of Waveland. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Thursday at Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 State Road 25, Waynetown, with the Rev. David Finney officiating. Burial will be at Wallace Lutheran, Wallace. Friends may call from 5-8 pm today at the funeral home.
