Harry Irons, 82, of 284 Garfield Ave., died here Wed. at 7:15 p.m. He had been a Western Illinois Ice Co. employee for 32 years until his retirement in Apr 1948.
He was born 11 Jun 1878, in Fulton Co. and was married 20 Nov 1899 to Florence C. Haskins, who died in 1957.
Surviving are two sons, Bernard L. and Lee, both of Galesburg, two daughters, Mrs. G. D. (Beulah) McClain and Mrs. C. E. (Viola Maxine) Walihan of Galesburg; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Wheatley of Detroit and Mrs. Chloe Garrow of Chicago; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sat. at 10 a.m. at Hinchliff and Pearson Funeral Chapel, where friends may call Fri. evening. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. [Register Mail, Galesburg, IL, 23 Jun 1960, p. 23]
