Sterling Kincaid was the son of William Harrison and Susan Wilson Kincaid. He marred Sarah Jane Woodson and then Theresa A. Miller. He was a farmer and served on the confederate side when the War came. He was killed at Sherman Stiner's place at the close of the Civil War. He was killed in 1865 by an outlaw band of bushwhackers.
