John R. Benedict, eighty-three, 126 Charles Road, died at 12:05 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Conestoga, the son of the late Reuben and Susan Reinhart Benedict. He was a member of the Kishacaquilla Tribe, No. 65, Improved Order of Red Men, Conestoga, and the Knights of the Mystic Chain No. 126, Lancaster Castle. He celebrated his 63rd wedding anniversary on Sept 3, 1944. He is survived by his wife, Susan Eckman Benedict; a daughter, Mrs. Bertha M. Fisher, at home and a grandson, John W. Aument, also at home.
