The 3rd son of Simon Wikert and Anna Smith of Millvale. Married to Clarisa Kirkpatrick. He died of drowning in the Allegheny River in 1918 when he committed suicide by jumping off a bridge. The PA death certificate stated that the 22nd was the date he was found near Herrs' Island, not stating that it was the date of death. His age was 53 years and 8 months old. Interment was on October 24, 1918 with the services of Ed Pfeifer of Millvale as undertaker. The certificate information was given by Albert Wikert, who mistakenly gave Jacob's father's name as Samuel instead of Simon. Buried from the EJ Pfeifer Funeral Home in Millvale. Jacob has no personal tombstone. His father's stone (Simon) has the only tombstone in the plot.
