Manuel is the son of Manuel Valladao, first husband to wife Gloria Rogers, and father to Hazel and Fred Elton Vallado.

Carole Valladao Dolber wrote (Sept. 1994) and said, "Manuel Valladao born July 4, ??? passed away when my father Fred Elton Valladao was 4 years old (approx 1912). Manuel Valladao was born in New Bedford, Massacheusetts & moved at a young age to Providence, R.I. Manuel had a brother Carlos Valladao (buried in Winton Cemetary near my father's gravesite); a sister who lived in San Jose - name ?? another sister in the Azores name ??"
