TOWNS - Ms. Thelma R. Smith, 83, of Towns, died Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Putnam General Hospital in Eatonton, Georgia after an extended illness. -Ms. Smith is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Yvonne Smith; three grandchildren, Duane Smith, Chad Smith, and Jimmy Beech; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Nettie Thomas. She was preceded by her husband, Ester Smith; son, Mallory Smith; and grandson, Stan Beech. -Funeral Services will be held 2P.M. Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Springhill Baptist Church with Rev. Gwinnette Aldridge officiating. Interment will follow in the Telfair Memorial Gardens. -Towns Funeral Home of Alamo in charge of arrangements.
