Mrs. Leila j. Salter. age 89 Of Oconee died June 8,1979 at Memorial Hospital of Washington, County Funeral Services were held Sunday June 10,at 3:00pm from the Oconee Church of God with Rev. Ben Lumley Officiating assisted by Rev. J. Emory Linsey of the Nazarene Church Interment was in Antioch Christain Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Salter was born Feb 9,1890 In Washington,County.
The former Miss leila Johnson daughter of the late
Frank Johnson and the late Mrs.Nancy Prosser Johnson.
She was a member of Oconee Church of God,and was the widow of the late Joe Salter.
Survivors include three Daughters Mrs Mary Kleckner,and Mrs Emma Lou Bates,both of Orlando,Fl. Mrs. Willie Mae Hartley. of Sandersville; Three son's Thomas Lee Salter,of
Orlando, FL.Charlie Clyde Salter,of Richmond,IN.
Arthur Ray Salter.of Mishawaka,In; 21 grand children. One brother Alva Johnson of Sandersville and other relatives.
Active Pallbearers were Ernest Brantley. Willie Brantley, Lee Brantley, Felton Johnson, Ollan Brantley, J.T. Palmer, and L.A. Hodges.
Mayo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
