June, age 89, passed away peacefully at Oakwood Village on Sunday. She was born to Ray & Ruth (Graham) Smith. June married Frank Harold Byers in March, 1946. She enjoyed life, including cards, dancing and sports, as well as her love for animals. She will be remembered by all for her sense of humor. S
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Laurie Esser. Per June's request, a private family service was held. A special thank you is extended to the staff at Hebron/Oakwood for their loving care and the Chen family who cared for June in her home for the years before she moved to Oakwood. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial s in June's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or Oakwood Village. Cress Funeral and Cremation Service assisted with arrangements.
