Sarah, daughter of Alexander and Mary (Landis) BOLYARD, was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, 24 DEC 1845 , and died 21 JAN 1918, aged 73 years and 27 days. She was one of a family of ten children, of whom four brothers survive. They are: Elias of Dayton O., Wesley of Buffalo, N.Y., Levi of Monroeville, Ind., and James of Magnetic Springs, O.
When a small girl she moved with her parents to near Galion, Oh . (the story related by Irma Mae DENNIS is: the family followed the Ohio River and carried their worldly goods by Ox-Cart.] A few years later they moved to
Allen County, Ind. Here she was united in marriage with Frank Bosserman. Twin girls born of this union. One died in infancy, the other, Mary,is a resident of Marion, O. Mr Bosserman, who was a soldier of the Civil War, lived but a short time. On 24 JAN 1865, she was married to Henry Albert DENNIS. To this union nine children were born: William Sherman of Cardington, Levi Hartley of Marion, Harry Webster of Cardington, Chester B. of Columbus, Mrs. Pearl Cook of Marion, Mrs. Elsie Ashbrook of Dayton; Ada, Samuel,infant
son preceded her to the other world. Mr. DENNIS died 12 SEP 1915, having been an invalid for several years, during which time she cared for hi m tenderly as a faithful companion. She was ever true to her duties as wife and mother in the home. - A grandson lived with her for 11 years.
