Mary Emelia (Schmidt) Johnson was born on December 29, 1913 in String Prairie (Bastrop County) Texas. Our mother has completed Gods work here on earth and went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2005 in San Antonio, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma "Fife" Groman Schmidt and father, Max Schmidt; two brothers, five sisters and her husband of 56 years, James Robert "Bob" Johnson, Sr.; her son, James Robert "Bobby" Johnson; and two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son's wife, Jacqueline Johnson; son, Thomas Max "Tommy" Johnson and wife, Signa; daughter, Mary Louise and husband, Norman Posey; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Mission Burial Park North, 20900 IH-10 West, San Antonio, Texas 78257, with Rev. Alice Urbanowicz officiating.
