Faye N. Sandridge Mills was born the daughter of Lloyd A. Payne and Bonnie Sandridge Payne on September 20, 1920 at Thayer, Missouri and departed this life April 19, 2011 in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 90 years. She was united in marriage February 9, 1942 in Doniphan, Missouri to Leslie Sandridge, who preceded her in death February 25, 1990. She was united in marriage September 9, 1992 at West Plains, Missouri to Othal Mills, who preceded her in death October 31, 2000. She is survived by one son, Leslie G. Sandridge and wife, Judy of Herculaneum, Missouri; one grandson, James Sandridge and wife, Libby of Herculaneum, Missouri; one granddaughter, Kimberly Michelle Clements and husband, Ralph of Herculaneum, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Drew, Molly and Trey; one brother, Joe Payne and wife, Karen of Independence, Missouri; two sisters, Lyda West and husband, Gene of Denver, Colorado and Gladys Fernbach and husband, Ron of St. Ann, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Payne of Arnold, Missouri and Myrle Sandridge of Thayer, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Bascome Baker of Thayer, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Bonnie Payne; her husbands, Leslie Sandridge and Othal Mills and one brother, Loyd Payne. Faye was a dedicated homemaker, a hairdresser and taught Cosmetology for several years. She was a seamstress, working as a pocket setter for Puritan Fashions in Thayer for nine years. She was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church in Thayer and will be remembered as a kind, loving and caring mother, grandmother and sister. She will truly be missed by all. Funeral services will be Friday, April 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Pastor Abel Perez officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
