In Memoriam

In loving remembrance of J. Morio Adams, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Adams, died June 5, 1899 at the home of his parents, New Richland.

Angel bells afar are ringing,
In that far-off happy land;
For one more has joined their number,
Joined the happy angel band.

One more chants the Saviour's mercy,
Joins the choir in heaven above
Sweetly singing hymns of praises
To the Saviour whom we love.

He has left us all in sorrow,
Robed in garments pure and white;
But with angels he rejoices
That his soul hath taken flight.

Two short months he dwelt amongst us,
When he heard sweet Jesus call
And he answered: "I am coming
To the happiest home of all."

Parents dear, in tears I leave you.
But I'm numbered with the blest;
Join me in that far off haven
Where in peace the soul doth rest.

Guard my darling little sister-
Guard her from all woes and pain;
Keep her soul pure, white and spotless,
Till we meet in Heaven again.

Kneeling at the throne of mercy
Let our hearts to heaven ascend;
Yielding up the treasure sent us
From our Father and our Friend.

Heads that once were bowed in sorrow,
Feel the sting of death no more;
We rejoice that God has taken
One more lamb unto His fold.

"Good-bye Mario!" "Peace be with you."
Hearts no longer now are sore-
Jesus needs you-calls you to him.
"Welcome to that happy shore."
