She was aquitted of the charges yet , locals took it upon themselves to hang her anyway . They abused her and hung her naked in a tree cutting her down the next day and buried her in the snow .She was abt 66 years old when this vicios attack occured ,no charges were ever brought to those that did this. She survied this and lived eleven years more. A woman of true grit!
