Gladys May Lynch, 87, of Fairfield, Texas died Thursday, October 29, 2009 in Tyler, Texas. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Centerville Cemetery in Centerville, Texas with Pastor Eston (Buddy) Turner officiating.
Mrs. Lynch was born December 24, 1921 in Lincoln, Nebraska and had been a Fairfield resident for over 30 years. She was a retired telephone customer service representative. She was a member of the Fairfield First United Methodist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband Archie D. Lynch in 2003; two sons, Kenny Richard Lynch and Stephen Dale Lynch and one brother.
Survivors include her children, James D. Lynch and wife Dixie of Fairfield; Sherry Coates and husband John of Mineral Wells, TX. Seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
