Mrs. Lucille Maxine Bragg, age 80, of 336 Capitol Avenue Clarksburg, WV died at 4:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born in Clarksburg, WV, April 18, 1924 a daughter of the late Newton B. Radcliff and the late Vada M. Nicholson Radcliff. Her husband, James E. Bragg, whom she married June 20, 1944, preceded her in death November 20, 1998. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law; James D. and Beverly Bragg, Orlando, FL, Ronald E. and Charolette Bragg, Bridgeport, WV and John A. and Cynthia Bragg, Orlando, FL, five grandchildren, Mrs. Jason (Carissa M.) Mastry, Atlanta, GA, Heather A. Bragg, Santa Cruz, CA, Scott D. Bragg, Bridgeport, WV, Jamie L. Bragg, Bridgeport, WV and M. Allison Bragg, Orlando, FL, one great granddaughter, Ella Grace Mastry, Atlanta, GA, one brother and sister-in-law, Charles N. and Mary Catherine Radcliff, Clarksburg, WV and one sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Paul Crockett, Barboursville, WV, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Mildred Collins, Pauline Moyer, Freda Smith, Louise Bragg and Waneta Mace. Mrs. Bragg was a member of the East Clarksburg Baptist Church, where she was a Trustee, a member of the church choir and had served on many church committees. She had taught children's Sunday School for over 50 years. Maxine was a former president of the Stone & Thomas Credit Union and she had served as a board member of the Harrison County Chapter of Credit Unions and was a committee person with CWV Tel Federal Credit Union. She was a past board member of the Clarksburg Mission and had served in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mission. She had done extensive volunteer work for several years with the "Helping Hands Thrift Store" of the Mission. Mrs. Bragg had retired from Stone & Thomas Department Store with over 38 years of service. Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main Street, Clarksburg, WV from 7 - 9 P. M. Saturday and from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 P.M. Sunday. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home Monday, May 24, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Don Fowler presiding. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be contributions to East Clarksburg Baptist Church, 1225 East Main Street, Clarksburg, WV 26301 or to Peoples Hospice, P.O. Box 1680, Clarksburg, WV 26302-9960. Davis-Weaver service.
