He was formerly employed as a third class steam engineer at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational-Technical High School for over 30 years until retiring in 2008. Bob was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational School, class of 1971.

He served the town of Fairhaven as an elected member of the Board of Public Works from 2002 to 2009 and served as its chairman from 2004 to 2009.

His other passions in life were his collection of old Packard cars of which he owned two, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Inc., for which he held car cruises to raise money for children with life threatening illnesses. He was a former disc jockey and talk show host for W.A.L.E. Radio Station in Fall River.

Bob was known for his endless trivia and historical knowledge of the Fairhaven area. He was a loving husband, dedicated friend to many and will be missed by all.
